Design Story
Merry Carousel is inspired by fleeting childhood memories, gentle amusement rides, and the innocent joy found in small everyday rituals. The illustrated motif is intentionally soft and slightly whimsical, creating a visual language that feels warm, calm, and quietly poetic. Rather than loud decoration, the imagery whispers, inviting the user into a slower, more mindful drinking experience.
Artisan Hand-Painted Process
Each cup is individually hand-painted using traditional underglaze pigments. The artwork is applied directly onto the raw ceramic surface, then sealed beneath a transparent glaze and fired at high temperature. This process ensures that the illustration becomes part of the ceramic body itself, never fading, peeling, or washing away.
Material & Clay Body
Made from high-quality stoneware clay selected for its strength, heat resistance, and gentle natural texture. The clay matures beautifully in the kiln, producing a dense yet warm body that feels substantial without being heavy.
Form & Ergonomics
